When producing magnesia carbon bricks, what are the requirements for its raw materials, binders and additives?
(1) Magnesia requires high Mg content (about 96%), particle bulk density greater than 3.5g/cm3, CaO/Si O2>2, Fe2O3<1, porosity as far as possible, less than 3%, and the crystal size Bigger is better.
(2) Graphite is required to be flake graphite, fixed carbon content is not less than 92%, ash content SiO2 and Al2O3 should be small, and the amount of addition should vary according to the different parts of use. As a magnesia carbon brick for converter lining, the addition amount is 15 ~20%.
(3) Additives Choose different additives according to different parts of use. Al and Si are generally added. The amount added should be appropriate. The particle size of additives should generally be less than 0.15mm.
(4) The bonding agent has good wettability with magnesia and graphite, and a small amount of addition can make a good mud, that is, good viscosity; the chemical reaction with the aggregate is as small as possible, and the mud will change with time after mixing. The resulting change should be small; it should contain enough fixed carbon content; it should not contain ingredients harmful to the human body; the amount should be appropriate.
YRT has its own rich magnesite ore and flotation plant, light burned magnesia, sintered magnesia, fused magnesia, refractory bricks (magnesia carbon brick; alumina magnesia carbon brick, etc.)
